Dialysis patients requiring multiple weekly appointments.
Individuals undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
Patients attending physical therapy or rehabilitation sessions.
Anyone managing chronic medical conditions requiring ongoing care
Dialysis patients ride with Dream Care Rides at published Illinois rates. Most dialysis patients use ambulatory or wheelchair service for their three-times-weekly sessions:
| Service | Base Rate | Per Mile |
|---|---|---|
| Ambulatory (Sedan/SUV) | $35 – $65 | $2 – $4/mi |
| Wheelchair (ADA Van) | $65 – $115 | $3 – $6/mi |
| Stretcher (Ambulette) | $300 – $525 | $5 – $16/mi |
Surcharges: weekends 1.5×, holidays 2.25×, wait time $15–$30/15 min, oxygen $25, stairchair $25. Calculate your exact cost with our NEMT cost calculator.
Dialysis patients typically need three rides per week on a fixed schedule. Dream Care Rides assigns the same driver to your route, so you build familiarity and the driver learns your pickup timing, wait requirements, and post-treatment needs. Book your recurring rides online or call (708) 505-6994 to set up your weekly schedule.
After dialysis, patients often experience fatigue, dizziness, or nausea. Our drivers wait at the dialysis center until your session is complete and assist you to the vehicle at your pace. If you currently use ambulatory service but your condition changes, we can switch you to wheelchair transportation with no gap in your schedule.
Dream Care Rides serves dialysis centers across Illinois. Browse our coverage area to confirm availability near your treatment center. Private pay with transparent pricing. Medicaid accepted in select service areas — call (708) 505-6994 to check availability.
