Join the fastest-growing NEMT provider in the Chicago South Suburbs. Competitive pay, consistent routes, and a mission that matters. Help patients get to their medical appointments safely and on time.
This is not a random gig. This is consistent, meaningful work with a company that is growing and investing in its drivers.
Earn competitive rates per trip that reflect the skill and professionalism NEMT requires. Rates vary by service type with stretcher and wheelchair trips earning more than ambulatory runs.
Unlike gig platforms that dispatch random trips, Dream Care Rides offers standing order routes. Dialysis patients, therapy patients, and recurring medical appointments mean consistent daily income you can count on.
Our operations are based in the Chicago South Suburbs. If you live in Olympia Fields, Matteson, Richton Park, Hazel Crest, Homewood, or surrounding areas, your commute to start your day is short.
Dream Care Rides is expanding rapidly. More vehicles, more routes, and more opportunities for drivers who demonstrate reliability and professionalism.
You are not just driving people around. You are helping patients get to life-saving treatments like dialysis, chemotherapy, and surgery follow-ups. The work you do directly impacts patient outcomes.
Drive our fleet vehicles — no wear and tear on your personal car. Our fleet includes sedans, wheelchair-accessible vans with hydraulic lifts, and stretcher ambulettes.
We look for reliable, compassionate professionals who take pride in serving patients. Here is what you need to qualify.
A current Illinois or Indiana driver’s license in good standing. CDL is not required.
No major violations, DUI/DWI convictions, or excessive moving violations within the past three years.
All drivers must pass a comprehensive background check including criminal history, sex offender registry, and OIG exclusion list.
Pre-employment drug screening is required. Random drug testing may be conducted.
Current certification required, or willingness to obtain certification during onboarding. We provide training resources.
NEMT drivers interact with vulnerable patients. We expect courtesy, patience, and professionalism at all times.
Our patients include elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and those undergoing difficult medical treatments. Genuine empathy and care matter.
Dream Care Rides provides all vehicles. You will be assigned to one of three vehicle types based on your training and route assignments.
Standard sedans and SUVs for patients who can walk and transfer independently. Door-through-door assistance required.
ADA-compliant vans with hydraulic or electric lifts. Drivers must be trained on Q-Straint securement systems and wheelchair loading procedures.
Larger vehicles equipped with medical-grade stretchers for patients who cannot sit upright. Requires additional training on patient transfer and equipment operation.
No two days are exactly the same, but standing order routes give you a predictable foundation. Here is what a typical weekday schedule looks like for an NEMT driver.
Pick up standing order dialysis patients from their homes and transport them to dialysis centers. These are your most consistent routes.
Transport patients to doctor appointments, specialist visits, therapy sessions, and lab work. Mix of standing orders and on-demand trips.
Pick up dialysis patients after treatment. Transport hospital discharge patients to their homes or rehabilitation facilities.
Late-day medical appointments, therapy sessions, and evening dialysis pickups for second-shift patients.
All training is paid. New drivers complete a comprehensive onboarding program that covers everything from wheelchair securement to HIPAA compliance. You do not need prior NEMT experience — we train you.
