Dream Care Rides earned Better Business Bureau (BBB) Accreditation in 2026. For patients and families booking non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT), this accreditation provides a verifiable layer of accountability that most NEMT providers in Illinois and Indiana do not have. This article explains what BBB Accreditation is, how Dream Care Rides earned it, and what it means for every patient who books a ride with us.
The Better Business Bureau is a nonprofit organization founded in 1912 that evaluates businesses based on trust, transparency, and responsiveness to customer complaints. BBB Accreditation is not automatic — a business must apply, pass a review process, and meet specific standards before the BBB grants accredited status.
BBB evaluates businesses on eight standards of trust:
Businesses that pass the review receive an A+ through F letter grade. Dream Care Rides holds an A+ rating with the BBB. You can verify our accreditation directly on the BBB profile page for Dream Care Rides.
BBB Accreditation is not a rubber stamp. The bureau reviewed Dream Care Rides across multiple criteria before granting accredited status. Here is what the process involved:
The BBB verified that Dream Care Rides is a legally registered business operating from 20000 Governors Dr Suite 103H, Olympia Fields, IL 60461. They confirmed our business licensing, insurance status, and that no government actions had been taken against the company.
The BBB examined our complaint history. Businesses with unresolved complaints or patterns of customer issues cannot receive accreditation. Dream Care Rides has maintained a clean complaint record because we resolve issues directly with patients and families. If you ever have a concern about a ride, call us at (708) 505-6994 and we will address it immediately.
We provided the BBB with documentation of our pricing structure, service offerings, and operational policies. Our rates are published publicly: ambulatory (sedan/SUV) transport starts at $35 – $65 base rate plus $2 – $4 per mile, wheelchair (ADA van) transport starts at $65 – $115 base rate plus $3 – $6 per mile, and stretcher (ambulette) transport starts at $300 – $525 base rate plus $5 – $16 per mile. No hidden fees. No surprise charges.
As a BBB-accredited business, Dream Care Rides has agreed to participate in BBB's dispute resolution process. If a patient or family member files a complaint through the BBB, we are obligated to respond and work toward a resolution. This is a binding commitment — not a suggestion.
For patients and families choosing an NEMT provider, BBB Accreditation provides three specific protections that matter:
Most NEMT providers in Illinois operate without any third-party oversight beyond basic licensing. If something goes wrong — a missed pickup, a billing dispute, a service complaint — the patient has limited recourse. With a BBB-accredited provider, patients have an independent organization that will mediate disputes and hold the provider accountable.
This matters especially for vulnerable patients: elderly adults who depend on regular dialysis transport, wheelchair users who need reliable door-through-door service, and post-surgical patients who cannot be left waiting at a curb. If Dream Care Rides fails to meet its obligations, the BBB provides a formal channel for resolution.
The NEMT industry has a problem with unverified operators. Some providers operate without proper insurance, use personal vehicles without commercial registration, or misrepresent their capabilities. BBB Accreditation means a third party has verified that Dream Care Rides is a legitimate, insured, and properly operated business.
You can verify our credentials yourself:
BBB Accreditation requires that we respond to every complaint filed through their system. This creates a public record of how we handle problems. For patients comparing NEMT providers, this record is invaluable — you can see whether a company resolves issues or ignores them before you book.
BBB Accreditation requires an application, a review, and ongoing compliance. Many NEMT providers — especially smaller operators — do not pursue accreditation because they cannot meet the standards or choose not to submit to third-party oversight.
When comparing NEMT providers, ask these questions:
If a provider cannot answer these questions clearly, consider that a warning sign. For more guidance, read our article on how to verify NEMT provider credentials before booking.
Every service Dream Care Rides provides operates under our BBB-accredited business standards:
Sedan and SUV transport for patients who can walk independently or with minimal assistance. Includes door-to-door service with a trained driver. Ideal for doctor visits, specialist appointments, lab work, and physical therapy sessions.
ADA-compliant wheelchair vans with hydraulic lifts or ramps and Q'Straint four-point securement systems. Provides door-through-door service for wheelchair users. Used for dialysis transport, hospital discharges, and all medical appointments.
Ambulette service for patients who must remain supine during transport. Used for hospital-to-facility transfers, long-distance medical transport, and patients recovering from surgery. This is our highest-level service and requires advance scheduling.
Surcharges apply for weekends (1.5×), holidays (2.25×), wait time ($15 – $30 per 15 minutes), supplemental oxygen ($25), and stairchair service ($25). All surcharges are disclosed before booking — consistent with our BBB commitment to transparent pricing.

BBB Accreditation means the Better Business Bureau has reviewed the company's business practices, complaint history, and licensing, and determined it meets their eight standards of trust. The provider has also agreed to participate in BBB's dispute resolution process for any customer complaints.
Visit bbb.org and search for Dream Care Rides. Our profile has a “File a Complaint” button. However, we encourage you to call us first at (708) 505-6994 — most issues can be resolved directly and immediately.
Yes. Dream Care Rides carries commercial auto insurance, general liability insurance, and professional liability coverage. Our insurance documentation was verified as part of the BBB accreditation process.
Our NPI number is 1033989991. This is a Type 2 (organizational) NPI registered with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). You can verify it on the NPPES NPI Registry.
No. BBB Accreditation does not change our pricing. Ambulatory rides start at $35 – $65 base, wheelchair rides at $65 – $115 base, and stretcher transport at $300 – $525 base, plus per-mile charges. The accreditation is about trust and accountability, not pricing.
Very few. Most NEMT providers in Illinois do not pursue BBB Accreditation. Dream Care Rides is among a small number of accredited NEMT providers in the state, which is one reason we encourage patients to verify credentials before booking with any provider.
