Short answer: Set up a standing NEMT authorization instead of booking each trip separately. One authorization covers all your dialysis rides for the authorization period (typically 90 days). Through Illinois Medicaid, your MCO's transportation broker handles this. For private pay, Dream Care Rides offers a recurring 3x-weekly plan with reduced per-trip pricing.
Call your Illinois Medicaid MCO's transportation broker and ask for a standing authorization for dialysis. Provide your schedule (days and times), the dialysis center address, and your home pickup address. The authorization will cover every trip in the period — you do not need to call before each session. See our Medicaid dialysis transportation guide for full details.
If you do not have Medicaid, a recurring 3x-weekly plan with Dream Care Rides lets you lock in a consistent schedule and reduces per-trip cost. See the NEMT cost guide for how volume pricing works, and the dialysis NEMT guide for what to expect from a dialysis-specialized ride.
