Medicaid covers transportation home from the hospital at no cost. Many Medicare Advantage plans include post-discharge transportation. Some hospitals have charitable funds for patients without coverage. Organizations like the American Cancer Society provide rides for cancer patients. Yes. Dream Care Rides provides stretcher (ambulette) transport for patients discharged from hospitals who cannot sit upright. Our two-person crew handles the stretcher loading and transport safely. Medicaid covers post-surgical discharge transportation. Many Medicare Advantage plans cover it as well. Commercial insurance rarely covers discharge transport unless it is medically ordered.
